Dublin Core
Title
Samuel Beckett letter and telegram to Henry Wenning
Subject
Beckett, Samuel, 1906-1989. Correspondence.
Description
Autograph letter signed and telegraph
In response to Wenning inquiring about the possibility of selling the original French Waiting for Godot manuscript, Beckett replies that he "rightly or wrongly have decided not to let Godot go yet," and instead offers the original Molloy manuscript to Wenning. He also alludes to another book and manuscript dealer, Jake Schwartz, with whom he'd had a falling out with after he found out (from Wenning) that Schwartz had been paying him only a small percentage of the true value of his manuscripts.
